Community Support in South Wales

The Pili Pala Project is a registered Community Interest Company, with the aim of providing child centred, emotional support to children in South Wales who have family members receiving treatment in South Wales. Profits made for products sold through the the Pili Pala Project is provided to the Maggie's Centre in Cardiff, Wales.

Maggie’s is a charity providing free cancer support and information in centres across the UK and online. The Maggie's Centre in Cardiff was established in 2019 and whilst a wide range of support is offered for adults, there is currently limited support for children who have family members going through treatment. The Pili Pala Project aims to address this by providing free support to these children through resources, products and therapeutic services.

Providing this support to children through the Maggie's centre is something that is extremely close to my heart. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2018 when I was 32 years old. After treatment, it was the Maggie's Centre in Cardiff who helped to piece me back together.

The NHS saved my life but the Maggie's centre helped save my mind!

I am now Cancer free and set up the Pili Pala Project CIC so I could use my experience working with families and my theoretical knowledge, to give back to the Maggie's Centre and to help support families through their own diagnosis' and treatment like I was supported with mine.

You can keep up to date with the support that is provided through the Pili Pala Project by signing up to the E-Newsletter or by following the Pili Pala Project on Social media.
